Nicholas's range as a composer is evident in some of the audio clips available on this site, from the humour and wit of his Concert Variations on Praise to the Lord and Good King Wenceslas, to the sensitiviy of his Organ Mass and his Organ Sonata as well as his arrangement of Amazing Grace, and the impressionistic tones of Elevation or Mass for a Saints' Day.

Nicholas is known internationally as an organist, harpischordist and composer. Formally Organist and Master of the Choristers at St David's Cathedral, he was also Organist of two of London's most famous churches and has made over twenty recordings. As a recitalist he has played great organs all over the world, from London to New York.

Nicholas also runs Concertante of London, a baroque ensemble with some young instrumentalists specialising in the performance of early music.
